Can you believe that March is already coming to an end? 2020 has been a crazy year thus far, and it just seems to be getting crazier. With COVID-19 having us all quarantined for 14 days- or longer- I imagine a lot of us are going a bit stir crazy. Or is it just me? To be fair, I spent the majority of this month completing flight attendant training before joining you lovelies in quarantine until I can officially start. I’ve now officially been quarantined for a week, so most of my March favorites are going to include things that have kept me occupied in this time! Without further ado, here’s a list of my March Favorites!
So, who failed to let me in on the best kept secret ever? Honestly, how have I lived through life without this. As an avid book consumer, this has to be the perfect app for me. Currently, Scribd is offering a free 30-day trial before charging only $8 a month for unlimited access to e-books and aubiobooks. Only $8?! That’s cheaper than my Netflix subscription. Also cheaper than my Spotify subscription! The selection of books on here is vast and some have the option to choose between an audiobook or an e-book. Honestly, can it get any better than that?
Side note: This is not sponsored, but I’d be beyond thrilled if I could partner up with this company!
Another two things that I was completely late to the game on. As a graduation present, my pretty awesome roommate surprised me with both Apple Watch (series 3) and Airpods. I’m in love. I’m a huge fan of Apple products in general- mainly because they are the only headphones that fit in my tiny ears. I’ve been constantly replacing the wired ones that come with the iPhones to begin with, but now that I’ve gone completely wireless with the, I can’t go back. I’ve tried a few bluetooth headphones and have’nt been a fan for two particular reasons: the battery life is trash and the ones I’ve used still had cords. Irritating. As for the watch, I’ve been a FitBit user for quite a while, but they tend to be temperamental and don’t connect with everything on my phone.
Nintendo Switch Lite
Another tech-y kind of thing, yes. I jumped on the Animal Crossing: New Horizons bandwagon this month, and I’m so happy I did. Last year, my original Wii (from the dark ages of technology) finally crapped out. Can you blame it? It had a solid 12 years of life. I have been dying to get a new one. Sadly, my all time favorite game, Harvest Moon, didn’t get great reviews for the Switch version. I settled with Animal Crossing. So far, I’m enjoying it, but I also wish I had gotten Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (second favorite game). That’ll certainly be my next Switch purchase when my bank account has recovered! I’m also happy with my decision to purchase the Switch Lite because I can take it literally anywhere.
TravelPro Flight Crew 5 Expandable 22″ Rollaboard
So, I’ve only used this luggage twice since I’ve gotten it, but it is a serious upgrade when it comes to carry on luggage! I was using a basic Rockland luggage set from Amazon (purchased for $35) for my regional airline, and it couldn’t hold anything. I’d go on a 4 day trip and have to re-wear the same sweater if I went out for dinner with the pilots. It was honestly embarrassing! But this new TravelPro is probably one of my favorite pieces of luggage due to the amount of space this thing has. I swore up and down on hardcase luggage- still do, for those of you checking a bag- but, honestly, I could probably pack for an entire month with this bad boy. This is the closest I could find for the version I have!
Jergens Natural Glow: Medium to Tan
This has been a long time favorite of mine, but I’m bringing it back for my March 2020 Favorites. As we head into spring, I like to get rid of my naturally pasty-white skin and feel a bit of a glow. I like to ease my way into getting the summer tan. I particularly love Jergens Natural Glow because it’s budget-friendly ($9 at Target!), smells yummy, and does a damn good job at building a natural looking tan while also moisturizing like a lotion. My mom used this daily as I was growing up, and I picked up the habit fairly early on as well. It just helps get you out of that winter lump and into the mood for good ole sunshine.
